In the still of the night
When darkness falls we sometimes associate it with evil or “things that go bump in the night.” While evil deeds are most often perpetrated under the veil of darkness; as Christians, we can have peace. Knowing that God is always watchful, always with us and keeps us in the palm of His hand, offers the best security system available.
Morning prayer and worship with God’s Word is marvelous and needful. However, there is something about those times in the still of the night when God speaks into our lives that is unparalleled.
It’s in the stillness where we can feel God offer comfort, direction and assurance. Whether your night is a trial, or literally a time during the dark of night when you are awaken, its God’s desire to commune with us.
“He knows the plans He has for us,” plans for good and not evil. I would encourage you to rest in God’s peace and love. Receive it for He offers it freely to whosoever will accept Him as their savior.
He is my knight in shinning armor, in the still of the night and the light of day.
How about you? Has God done something miraculous for you or spoke something into your life in the still of the night?

I don’t know if he spoke to me in the still of the night. I only know that he let me know that I am not the master planner. I can’t do without his love and guidance for me.He let me know not to put him on the back burner. But to put him first when my feet touch the floor in the morning. Glory to God, without him I’m nothing. Blessings

I really enjoy this post;p
I have to many miracles to list, but I’d like to share the best one that has happened to my family.
My 4th son, Deegan, (he is 1 yr now;p), was “supposed” to have either, Trisomy or Downs. (according to several drs)
The ultrasound pictures, did show, cleft palate, lip, club foot,
“abnormalities of the head bones”, and a few other things.
I try to keep politics away from my blogs, however, I was told time and time again, by the drs, that I should think about abortion.
I am very prolife, so that was 110% out of the question, and I refused all genetics tests, etc.
I spoke with my dr, as each days ultrasound, led to more “issues” the drs say they saw, and told him I was not planning on getting any more ultrasounds. He agreed that would be in my best interest.
Long story short, we had a lot of support, and prayer groups, lots of very generous people;p We would love this precious boy, no matter what;p
Deegan James was born in the ambulance, (labor was 5 minutes lol, I always wait to long). He was 8lbs, 22 inches, and had a cleft lip and club foot only;p
I am certain that this was a miracle of God, the prayers and friends.
I saw these ultrasound pictures myself, and the palate and lip was very evident. He has had a couple surgeries, and will be getting more minor surgeries through his young life, and he is a very naughty, curious, loud, funny, sweet, angel.
Thank you for your wonderful post!
I am sorry for taking up so much time with my comment;p
God Bless!
